Fruit of the Spirit

I came across this verse the other day and I’m so glad I did.

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control” -Galatians 5:22-23

I think this is the sole verse you should live your life by. Your goal should be to live a life like the King of Kings, pursuing him in everything that you do. Sometimes it’s hard to live out these things in your daily life, but seeing this verse and trying to live by it makes it a little easier.

Love: Love your friends. Love your family. Love your enemies. Love your life. Love the people around you. Don’t carry hate around like a dark cloud above your head!!! People feed off of others so love should be at the center of all you do.

Joy: Be joyous in all your life. Happiness is contagious and should be spread much more often than it is!

Peace: Nothing is greater than feeling at peace with your life. Pray to God if you ever feel uneasy or unsteady in ANY area of your life, he will grant you the peace that you deserve.

Forbearance: Be patient in all that you do. Most great things don’t form over night.

Kindness: There is no reason not to be kind. Putting kindness before all else will make you a better and happier person in the long run.

Goodness: Be a good person! Hold doors open, let someone else have the last piece, give compliments, help people out! Being  a good person goes a long way.

Faithfulness: Faithfulness is often just communicated as a Christ thing, but you should be faithful in all areas of your life. Be faithful to your friends, don’t share the secrets they so kindly placed in you. Be faithful to your significant other, why would you hurt someone who loves you? Be faithful to your school work, do everything you’re supposed to do and good things are sure to come.

Gentleness: Be gentle!! Treat everything in a gentle manor and think of others when doing so.

Self-Control: There is nothing you can or can’t do. Temptations are only met when you are weak minded. Have a strong mind and control yourself when things get too hard. Pray about it.

Living by all of these things and really breaking them down in your daily life will make living a life like Jesus so much easier. Be the Galatians 5:22-23 person you’re meant to be!

God Bless you all ..
